Butterfly Village Kids College Opened in 2014.  Created by Dolores Givens. We affirm her commitment to the highest level of education and care for each of our families and students.  We have set high standards for ourselves as educators. Every Teacher must show proof of the following. 

​

Associates Degree or higher in any subject

(copy of diploma or completed transcript) also a

(CDA) Child Development Associates

Three or more years of Pre-K to the 2nd grade teaching experience (written proof of contacting the previous employer)

Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies them to provide instruction in Pre-K to the 2nd grade.
Grade subjects (provide documentation such as certifications, professional development, curriculum training, etc.).

Curriculum

 As a leader in early education, we embrace the greatest
Standards for early childhood curriculum. Our school align
with national standards to ensure that every child has an
excellent educational experience. Our classrooms are
full of fun, laughter, and the joy of learning!

 

Our students growing mastery of subject matter strengthened because of the comprehensive design of our reading programs. Materials taught in one subject are reinforced in other topics. At every step of the way, students learn, apply, and master new concepts and skills.

 

Imagination

​​At Butterfly Village Kids College, we put the word play in education! We celebrate curiosity and enjoy every "aha" moment. We believe that play powers big ideas, inspire unlimited possibilities, and allows us to dream big!  Our Classrooms and back yard are full of beautiful adventures that spark the imagination in all our children from finding shells in the steep hills of sand to creating a one of a kind wave tank that shows how waves generate at sea — an example of the Science in our S.T.E.A.M.  program.  We include lots of Technology.   Interactive computers, Osmo, Square Panda, and Touchtronic.  These electronic games help with Cognition and fine motor skills.  Engineering is another significant part of our S.T.E.A.M program. The children come up with ideas all the time.  Such as designing a railroad for our trains.   We work hard to expand our children’s minds with all sorts of skills.  A visit to the Salvador Dali Museum to experience the different kinds of Art helps to develop their imagination. We visit The Mahaffey Theater to see art in motion.    We also visit:  Great Explorations and The Glazer Children’s Museum to create crafts.  Math is big at our school too.  But you will have to visit the school to learn more about us.
